Argentina se propone exportar carne bovina lo más rápido posible a EE.UU.
El ministro de Agricultura, Ganadería y Pesca de Argentina, Carlos Casamiquela, recibió este miércoles al embajador de EE.UU., Noah Mamet, con quien habló sobre la reciente apertura de las exportaciones de carne a ese país.
«Coincidimos ampliamente con el Embajador en la importancia de seguir trabajando en temas de interés para ambos países», afirmó Casamiquela. «Con respecto a la apertura del mercado americano para la exportación de carne, se están llevando a cabo todos los procesos para que pueda realizarse lo más rápido posible».
Este es un tema muy significativo para el sector agropecuario argentino ya que el comercio de carnes bovinas frescas de Argentina a los EE.UU. se encontraba cerrado desde hace 14 años con el argumento de la aftosa, una enfermedad de la cual Argentina ha sido reconocida internacionalmente como país libre desde el año 2007.Al mismo tiempo, ambos mandatarios acordaron trabajar en temas de interés común como la apertura de nuevos mercados para diversos productos agroalimentícios.
«Continuaremos trabajando de manera conjunta para encontrar nuevas áreas de cooperación y colaboración y así incrementar el comercio entre ambos países», comunicó Mamet. «Recientemente tuvimos el acuerdo de la nueva regulación que permite a la Argentina volver a exportar carne, lo que permite seguir profundizando la cooperación bilateral».
Del mismo modo Javier Rodríguez, el secretario de Coordinación Político Institucional y Emergencia Agropecuaria, afirmó que «las relaciones bilaterales con EE.UU. son estratégicas porque se trata de ese país y de los que están asociados comercialmente a él», y luego agregó que «es un gran paso en las aspiraciones argentinas con respecto al mercado de carnes».-
